Two plates of Shakusoku are prepared Italian style with tomato sauce, basil parsley and oregano. Eggs are poached in the tomato sauce and served over toasted Italian bread. Italian style Shakusoku is popularly known as "eggs in Purgatory." This image was propped with antique silverware, vintage French linens and a cookie sheet type background surface and photographed using strobe lighting.
