Traditional French onion soup is prepared in three croquettes and photographed in a close-up, macro shot, straight-on. Traditional French onion soup is prepared with one-half chicken broth and one-half beef broth. Onions are sautéed in butter and mixed with the broth. French bread is sliced and toasted to serve as the "scaffolding" for the cheese. Toast is topped with Gruyere cheese. Three croquettes are prepared and photographed on a cookie sheet surface with a fade to dark black background with cheese dripping over the surface of the croquette.
