My home-based studio includes a shooting area with a 27" iMac for tethering my camera and for visualizing the shoot. There are three client waiting areas for viewing images live as I shoot them. Two of the client waiting areas include wide screen TVs if you'd rather watch the news while you are viewing the shoot. The outdoor waiting area includes a TV and a pool (yes, you can take a dip if you'd like).
The studio also includes a fully-stocked kitchen prep area right off the shooting area for cooking and preparing food. Over 34 cubic feet of freezer capacity and 30 cubic feet of refrigerator space provides ample cold storage space for client product that is sent directly to me for cooking, styling and shooting and for items I may source locally for the shoot.
A prop area stores an extensive collection of vintage and contemporary props including plates, bowls and other dinnerware, linens, tableware, cookware, glasses and other sundry items.
My prop collection also includes an extensive collection of surfaces and other backgrounds for photographing food. The surfaces include aged barn wood, a variety of light and dark grey concrete surfaces, charcoal surfaces, textured blues and greens, multiple blue surfaces with different shade variations, white distressed, water-colored and more! The surfaces also come in a variety of sizes including table-top and oversized.
Two dedicated client bathrooms complete the studio layout.
